Materic Chrome™

A new process has been established for the production of Materic Chrome™, a high-purity (99.5% or more) metallic chrome. Two-stage electric furnace refining, in combination with a degassing process employing a large-scale vacuum furnace, has ensured the company’s success in manufacture of this high-grade material.

The company's own unique manufacturing method was used in developing Materic Chrome™, a degassed high-purity metallic chrome for superalloys used for such applications as aircraft manufacture. Materic Chrome™ is manufactured by a combination of the company's electric furnace refining technology and technology for the removal of detrimental components using a vacuum degassing furnace. Materic Chrome™ is a high-purity (99.5% or more) metallic chrome in which such impurities as nitrogen and sulfur have been successfully reduced to extremely low levels. The product has been highly evaluated by customers internationally for its high standard in superalloy applications.

Low-carbon Ferrochrome SA

Raw materials are selected carefully and smelted in an electric furnace and refined with silicon in a ladle.

Low-carbon Ferrochrome SA

Development of a low-carbon ferrochrome with high chrome content has been facilitated by the high-purification technology developed by the company. Detrimental trace elements (Si, N, O) are controlled, and a wide range of chrome purity grades are available. A range of sizes are available for use in robust crushing equipment.

Recycling business

Recycling the valuable rare metals contained in industrial wastes, etc.

Roasted metals   Fe-NiMo   Fe-V

Sulfur, oil, and moisture in the raw material are removed by a roasting process.   Molybdenum (Mo), nickel (Ni), and vanadium (V) are separated by smelting and refining roasted materials.   Vanadium recovery process (Fe-V): Vanadium (V) is recovered from V-containing slag by the electric aluminum thermite method.
