Recycling business

Recycling the valuable rare metals contained in industrial wastes, etc.

  1. Roasting process: Sulfur, oil, and moisture in the raw material are removed by a roasting process.

Spent desulfurization catalyst and boiler ash are burnt by the crude oil in the roasting furnace to manufacture roasted materials that contain molybdenum (Mo), nickel (Ni), and vanadium (V).

  1. Smelting/separation process: Molybdenum (Mo), nickel (Ni), and vanadium (V) are separated by smelting and refining roasted materials.

F-MoNi metal and V-containing slag are separated and recovered using an original smelting electric furnace method developed by JFE Material.

  1. Vanadium recovery process (Fe-V): Vanadium (V) is recovered from V-containing slag by the electric aluminum thermite method.

Ferroalloy (ferro-vanadium) and calcium aluminate (CaO-Al2O3) are manufactured.
