A low-carbon ferrochrome for use in superalloys developed with the combined ferrochrome manufacturing technologies of JFE Material.
- A combination of raw materials treatment and electric furnace smelting techniques enables stabilization of the Cr component at a high level (68-70%).
- Trace elements (C, Si, P, S, Co, N) are controlled to extremely low levels with superior technology for out-of-furnace refining.
- A low-cost chrome source which may be used with confidence as a replacement for metallic chrome in superalloys (e.g., INCONEL 718)
